My daughter, Montserrat Mesalles, started training with Murray’s Match Tough Tennis Academy in April of 2008.  Since then, there has been dramatic progress with virtually every aspect of her game.  With Mike and RJ’s expert guidance, every stroke has improved, be it her serve, forehand, backhand or volley.  More importantly, her confidence on court and overall approach to the game are visibly better than ever and continue to improve at an exceptional rate. 

Both Mike and RJ set a great example for their students by bringing a positive approach to the courts each and every day.  It is obvious that they have a passion for the game, moreover, a true desire to see all of their players successful both on and off the court.  Simply, they care about the child….not only tournament results.

Match Tough Tennis Academy offers all that a parent of an aspiring junior tennis player could hope for; experienced coaching, excellent facilities, convenience, reasonable cost and most importantly……FUN!!   While there is a strong emphasis on hard work and continuous improvement, they always find time for that one last game of “Olympics”, or a quick game of “Ultimate Frisbee” in lieu of fitness to keep things fun for the kids (and the parents at times).

I have personally investigated nearly every tennis program in the area and have solicited advice from many parents of other junior players and what I have learned is clear, there is no better program for serious junior tennis players in the area.

We enrolled our son Matthew in the Match Tough Tennis Academy in the summer of 2008.  He had taken instruction from several tennis coaches previously but we feel like Mike and RJ’s dedication to tennis, and their desire to pass their knowledge and skills on to the kids they work with, have helped Matthew to advance his tennis skills much faster than he had be able to advance previously.  Matthew loves to play tennis and enjoys being challenged.  Mike and RJ obviously grew up with a love for tennis and I can only imagine the competition between the two of them at home.  I have watched them work with kids from age 5 to age 18 and while the skill level varies widely, they work hard to make the student appreciate the game as they have.  If you have children that you want exposed to a life-long game of fun, fellowship and friendly competition, enroll them in Match Tough Tennis Academy at Forsyth Country Day School – you’ll be glad you did.
