We swam in 2 meets last week. Joe and I are very proud of everyone. We had a few state qualifying times as well as some personal best times from huge time drops. Tuesday's meet was not scored electronically. One of the highlights was Megan Wilson, who dropped 9 seconds in her 100 freestyle! Megan also swam the 100 backstroke for the first time. Elena Schreiner was able to go under 29 seconds for the first time in the 50 free (28.99). Kacy Rhyne dropped 2 and a half seconds in the 100 freestyle (1:04.64). Anna Mckeen swam the 100 butterfly for the first time. After being afraid she would not be able to complete it, she swam it in 1:35.51! Sarah Sipe has been trying to qualifying in the 100 butterfly for some time and had a qualifying time on Tuesday and then dropped her time more on Thursday (1:21.61). Meg Church dropped 3 seconds from her 100 freestyle time. It was so exciting to watch these swimmers obtain personal bests and swim races for the first time, and swim them well!
